Nîso Mêkwan/Two Feather Ring

Feathers are valued in many Indigenous cultures; feathers keep us connected to the spiritual world and we use them to show respect. I chose Aquamarine to represent the sky through its pale blue hue.
While researching Aquamarine, I came across this beautiful description, “Pale blue Aquamarine is the color of the winter sky giving way to spring.”
This ring was first hand carved in wax and cast in sterling silver. It is hand detailed, oxidized, polished and set with a faceted Aquamarine.

Each ring is made to order, please give 2-3 weeks for creation.

How I Found my Feather.

Around five years ago I took my sister and a friend camping. We camped at 20 Mile Bay, which I came to learn is a camp ground built on an ancient Chahalis tribal village of St’epsum. It was late and my sister needed to use the outhouse. She asked if I could go with her, I said okay. While I was waiting outside the outhouse I thought, I will pee too. I turned off my head lamp and proceeded to squat. When done, I turned on my headlamp, and while starting to stand up, I looked down and right in front of me lay a feather. I couldn’t believe my eyes, as I have been asking the Creator for a feather for a long time. However, feathers come when we are ready and I needed to be patient. That feather that was placed before me was the most beautiful feather I ever saw. I thank Creator each day for it and for the guidance it has given me.
